The Shiba is a hearty dog for its size and will do well in many different circumstances and settings. The Shiba Inu can live 12 and 15 years. The Shiba has a dense double coat similar to that of a husky they have HEAVY SHEDDING. Shibas can weigh between 19 -30 pounds. It is well suited for apartment living as long as it gets the exercise that it needs outdoors. Because of it quiet nature, many apartments allow this type of animal. Another benefit is that the breed is very clean and is easy to housebreak. They are not an excitable breed by nature but they will alert the owner if someone comes to the home. This breed loves to be a part of the family so it will play with just about anyone who plays with it. It can live happily in both hot and cold climates. Shiba Inus are very versatile dogs and can participate in a variety of sports and activities. Some of these include agility, hunting, and dog sledding. They are also used as service and therapy dogs.

Everything went great! He slept through the night in his Kennel and ate pretty well too! He hasn't had one accident yet and whines when he needs to go!
